VA Organzing Portsmouth Chapter

main-logo1For the last 15 months, the Portsmouth Chapter has been busy with the SCHOOL BOARD CAMPAIGN. They have been asking the Portsmouth School Board to change their code of conduct to reduce student suspensions. Student suspensions can cause children to fail in school and even lead to juvenile detention and prison. On Aug. 5th, 2018 the campaign achieved its goal! The School Board voted for a new code of conduct, which.creates different guidelines for elementary school children and high school students,  treats toy weapons differently from real ones, protects children who were fighting in self defense from being punished, and reduces zero tolerance infractions. CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE
