Stated Clerk: Presbytery of Eastern Virginia
The Presbytery of Eastern Virginia seeks applications for the role of Stated Clerk. This constitutional officer of the presbytery serves at the recommendation of the Presbytery Council, and is elected by the Presbytery for a defined term—usually 1-2 years. This role requires a firm command of the Book of Order, Robert’s Rules of Order, and excellent interpersonal skills. A part time position, open to both ruling and teaching elders, the stated clerk fulfills a sense of call to serve the Church in a specialized role.
