PEVA STAFF

Lissa began her time with the Presbytery on Sept. 3rd, 2024 as Transitional General Presbyter. The Presbytery extended a call to her as General Presbyter effective September 1, 2025, and she also has been elected as an officer of the Presbytery of Eastern Virginia, Inc., for the term of her service as General Presbyter.
She provides compassionate support and visionary oversight of the members of the Presbytery. She sets a tone for the pastoral care of ministers, educators, chaplains, commissioned pastors, sessions and PEVA staff, visiting congregations of the Presbytery. She serves as primary staff person and resource to the Presbytery Council, Trustees, the Commission on Ministry, and other commissions, committees, and ministry teams as needed and as time permits. She oversees administrative functions including financial management.
Lissa is a full-time employee of PEVA and has flexible office hours.

When it comes to interpreting the Book of Order, John can find the answer. John serves as staff support to the Presbytery Council, Commission on Ministry, Permanent Judicial Commission, and helps coordinate meetings of Presbytery in conjunction with the Presbytery Council (Council). He maintains the rolls of ministers and certified educators in the Presbytery and keeps records of all proceedings of PEVA. He is an elected official of the Presbytery, his position being required by the Constitution, and is directly responsible for carrying out ecclesiastical functions, i.e., Book of Order responsibilities. John is a part-time employee of PEVA and works 25 flexible hours per week.

Raymond works with the General Presbyter and Stated Clerk. He can answer your questions about Commission on Ministry, Commission on Preparation for Ministry, Presbytery Council , Congregational Vitality and other ministries as needed. Raymond also oversees the daily operation of the PEVA office. He makes sure that everyone throughout our presbytery knows about workshops, concerts and other events to which all are welcome. He provides a variety of clerical support services and computer technical support. He is also the webmaster for the PEVA website. He is a friendly voice that answers the phone at the Presbytery Office. Raymond is a part-time PEVA employee, he is usually in the office Monday - Friday 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and may work flexible hours per week when support is needed outside of regular office hours.

Jessica, a Certified Church Administrator, works with the Office Administrator, Business Administrator, Stated Clerk and General Presbyter. She supports Compassion Peace and Justice Ministries such as the Congo International Partnership Ministries, Hunger Committee, Peacemaking Committee, and Racial Justice Team. She also provides administrative support to the Board of Trustees, Presbyterian Women, Youth Ministry, and other ministries as needed. She provides a variety of clerical support services and computer technical support. She can answer your questions about mission giving contributions and missionary project codes, church giving and other administrative concerns. She is the other friendly voice that answers the phone at the Presbytery Office and assists the Office Administrator with the PEVA webpage. As Hunger Action Advocate, Jessica works with ministries related to hunger, peacemaking, racial justice issues and hunger related causes . She provides support to PEVA staff as needed. Jessica is a full-time PEVA employee and she is usually in the office Monday - Friday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. She occasionally works remotely and may work flexible hours per week when support is needed outside of regular office hours.

Regan, has a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting & Business Management. She is responsible for Presbytery's accounting and finances which includes accounts payable, classifying and recording revenue from various sources (mission giving, gifts, restricted funds that include capital fund campaigns) processing payroll for PEVA’s staff, the filing of quarterly payroll (withholding taxes, both federal and state) and the preparation of annual forms (W-2, W-3, 1096, and 1099). She reconciles monthly bank accounts with an appointed SMT member and coordinates the budget process, including the distribution of budget requests forms, as directed by the General Presbyter. She serves as primary staff for the Stewardship Ministry Team. Regan is in the PEVA office on Thursdays and works remotely most of the time.
